Synopsis

Bad things happen to good, God-fearing people. These sudden, unpleasant issues can have an adverse impact on our lives. However, if we are able to realize that the God we serve knows what He is doing and that He directs and controls our lives for our good and His high purposes, we will be better able to accept the fact that bad things can bring about good results. Those seemingly bad circumstances are being worked out in our lives by a Sovereign God who knows what he is doing! Jeremiah 29:11 reads, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end." In Jeremiah 33:3, we read these words of assurance: "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

About The Author

Dr. Stanley Joachim was born on July 15, 1931 in Sri Lanka, and mirgrated to the United States in 1961. He has served as an evangelist, pastor and bible school lecturer, and has ministered in several countries. Dr. Joachim is married and has three daughters and five grandchildren. He currently resides in Colorado.
