Fred Lee, author of If Disney Ran Your Hospital

Gayle and I are delighted to offer our hearty congratulations and sincere appreciation for the outstanding humanitarian service you’re performing in providing eye and health care to people in under served areas of the Fiji Islands and the South Pacific.
When Americans journey to tropical locations, they usually come back with memories of the joyful sights they witnessed. You, however, returned with the memory of giving the joy of sight. From your first trip to Fiji, you’ve made it a personal mission to South Pacific — from simple testing to sophisticated surgery to corrective lenses.
Your devoted efforts with The Beeve Foundation reach out to needy people who have lived a life of impaired vision and blindness. You not only give them the blessing of sight; you give them the opportunity to lead more productive and meaningful lives. I commend your commitment to literally bringing light into the lives of many — you are sterling examples for people everywhere.
Once again, please accept my congratulations on a job well done and every continued success in the years ahead.

Pete Wilson, Governor
State of California
