Faith That Moves Mountains
- Synopsis
Faith cannot be based on the tradition of any church or denomination. It cannot be based on our personal testimony. It must be based on God’s word alone.
“Thus you invalidated the word of God for the sake of your tradition” (Matthew 15:6). “But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men” (Matthew 15:9).
If you are willing to take a fresh look at faith from God’s perspective, according to His word, you will find your own faith being stirred up and becoming more active and more effective.
May the promises and provisions of God be yours as you rely on Him and trust in Him and His word!
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
About Gary Ward
Gary Ward has been pastor of Living Word Church in Manhattan, Kansas, since 1983.
He has a heart for helping people come to Christ and walk in the new life that He offers: A life free from the pains and heartaches of the past. A life of new promise and hope. A life that experiences the inheritance we have in the Lord. A life free of the shackles that hold us to our past. A life that releases us to live in the present in its fullness while looking to the future with great hope.
That is what his last book, “Living Free from the Shackles that Bind,” is all about. Living that life of freedom requires strong and effective faith. That is what this book is about.
Before entering the ministry, Gary taught high school biology for 18 years and worked as a seasonal ranger for the National Park Service during the summers. During those years he wrote the booklet “Bears of the Great Smoky Mountains” as well as numerous articles for magazines.
Gary has become best known for his ability to preach the Bible in a very practical, easy to understand way and always with encouragement to apply the word of God and see it manifested in the lives of those who hear it.
Many signs and wonders have accompanied the preaching of the whole counsel of God and have attested to the power and practicality of God’s word.
Gary’s only desire in writing this book is that it reaches people with a message of what real Bible faith is: A faith that works. A faith that can be increasingly effective through use. A faith that brings the promises and provisions of God into reality in the believer’s life. A faith that will lead to great joy and peace regardless of the circumstances that may surround us.
