HEADS and TAILS combines adventure, mystery, and fun with glimpses into the dark world of animal trafficking and the glamorous heyday of the carousel. Celebrating his thirteenth birthday with his family in Florida, Jordy is officially a teenager, but he could never have guessed where the next year would lead him. He seizes the opportunity to study American history first hand as he joins his mother’s best friend on a journey through Pennsylvania’s wealth of color and culture. About The Author

HEADS and TAILS brings to four Klima’s environmentally themed mysteries for upper-elementary and middle-grade readers. Turning teen, Jordy continues to challenge and inspire kids to respect the world around them. Charlene earned a BS degree from the University of Minnesota and a MS in Education from San Diego State University. She traveled extensively with her career Navy husband, raising a family in a number of locations including the island of Guam. An alumna of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, she participates in the Space Coast Writers Guild, Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Friends of Lake Apopka, and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay.
