New Covenant Living - Synopsis
God created us to have a relationship with Him, but unfortunately man sinned which separated us from God. Then God told Abraham that he was going to have a child, and in that way, He was going to call Abraham’s descendants back into a relationship with Him. God gave His people, the Israelites, the law for them to enter into a covenant relationship with Him. Again and again, Israel could not hold up their end of the covenant and live according to God’s Holy standards. Then, because of God’s great love for us, He sent us His Son. Jesus came down to die upon the cross which ushered in a new covenant relationship between God and man. We now come to God through the new covenant of His blood. Read what the Apostle Paul meant when he said, “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.”
About Kurt Litwiller
Kurt Litwiller has been the head pastor at Boynton Mennonite Church in Hopedale, Illinois, since April of 2001. He graduated with a Master’s of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary in December of 2001. He also holds a Sports Management degree from Goshen College in Indiana (1995) and a Liberal Arts degree from Hesston College in Kansas (1993).
